East Windsor is taking a pro active approach to improving our School Buildings and being clear and upfront with various Town Boards /Commissions on what is needed infrastructure wise in Our System.

This was a recent press release from:

The EWPS are issuing a very big thank you to our town leaders –
The Board of Selectmen
The Board of Education
The Board of Finance
Capital Improvement Planning Town Committee
for taking the time over the past month to tour each of the town’s school buildings. Also participating in the tours were Staff members of the town’s finance and public works departments.
The purpose of the tours, held in the evenings after schools were closed, is to review first hand the condition of the roofs, the windows, the boilers and HVAC systems, the flooring, as well as the gyms, locker rooms, athletic facilities, auditoriums, and cafeterias.
Led by Facilities Director Willie Quinones, and accompanied by  Superintendent Patrick Tudryn  Ed.D. and assistant superintendent, the group is in the process of updating its “to do” list by prioritizing which areas the town can afford to address this year and what projects can be budgeted in future years.
It is also an opportunity for elected officials to look for grants and state funding for some of these projects.
Broad Brook School was built in 1951. The East Windsor Middle and High Schools are nearly as old.
