About Us
The East Windsor Social Services Department is housed in the Annex of the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor. The department is comprised of an Administrative Assistant/Intake Assistant, a Social Service Aide, and is overseen by the Director of Recreation & Community Services.
The Social Services Department provides social, emotional and economic assistance to East Windsor residents. Our staff assesses the need of families and individuals of all ages and provides corresponding programs and services, helping them to attain self-sufficiency and maintain economic well-being.
In our office, we are directly responsible for administering the Energy Assistance and Renters’ Rebate programs. We offer many other programs throughout the year such as: Back to School Backpacks, Powerpacks for Elementary School children, Farmer’s Market Coupons, Holiday Baskets, and the Holiday Adopt a Family Program. We collaborate with several outside agencies including Operation Fuel, VNA, Salvation Army, Five Corner Cupboard, and Pauline’s Stock Pot, as well as local business and civic organizations. Our office also provides information about and contacts for State, Legal, and Financial Agencies such as: SNAP (formerly Food Stamps), Husky Health, and Care 4 Kids.
