East Windsor Arts and Culture is fund raising to add two New Art installations to the Warehouse Point Library!
The first project is a community paint of the Able Table, a picnic table with a cutout in the middle of one bench, that will be located on the back patio of the library.
The second project is the painting of a dinosaur- and book- themed mural to celebrate East Windsor being one of the first places in North America where dinosaur bones were discovered.
Lets Support the Arts in East Windsor while adding Beauty to the Library!
Here are the details:
The Able Table was built with a grant from the East Windsor Better Together Community Fund, and donated to the Warehouse Point Library by the Arts and Culture Committee.
Like the first Able Table which was donated to the East Windsor Park and painted by local artist Julie Bergeron, with help from participants at the 2024 Arts and Culture Day event the second will be done similarly.
This second table will be painted by Julie, this time with help from kids in the East Windsor Community. The design will be splashes of color, punctuated by the kids’ handprints.
The dinosaur and book mural will be painted by a local artist, yet to be chosen, on one wall of the children’s section of the library.
Funding from this campaign will pay for the following:
- Julie’s fee
- Supplies for the community paint event
- Mural artist’s fees and supplies
Check out the budget for this project below:
Every dollar donated up to $1,500 will be matched by Sustainable CT for a total of $3,000! That’s a HUGE deal!
With your help, we can support local artists, help kids participate in an art event and have their work displayed for all to see, add some color to the Warehouse Point Library while celebrating part of East Windsor’s history.
