Milling and Resurfacing on Route 140 in Windsor Locks and East Windsor
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 140 in Windsor Locks and East Windsor.
This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, April 20 and be completed on Friday, May 2, 2025.
The project DOT01710506CN “B” consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.97-mile segment of Route 140 in Windsor Locks and East Windsor from Route 159 (South Main Street) to US 5 (Prospect Hill Road).
This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Sunday, April 20 to Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
The resurfacing segment of this project by Galasso Materials is anticipated to begin on Sunday, April 27 to Friday, May 2, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 140 in Windsor Locks and East Windsor from Route 159 (South Main Street) to US 5 (Prospect Hill Road) Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
The work schedule for this project is from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
