Winterfest & the Tunnel of Lights
Winterfest 2022 and the “Tunnel of Lights” will begin Friday, November 25th. Winterfest will be held from 5PM until 9PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights and will run through Dec 23rd. Additionally, the Museum will be open from Dec 26th through Dec 30th. Halls are decked both inside and outside with over 15,000 lights. Outside, closed trolley cars transport jolly guests down a tunnel of lights as they sing traditional Christmas Carols with their trolley car operators. For an open air view of the “Tunnel of Lights,” enjoy a open sleigh car lit up entirely with holiday lights. Be sure to dress warm and bring blankets. Inside, the Visitor Center is decorated like a Winter Wonderland with multiple model train layouts and lights galore. Admission prices are $15-$20 per person and all ticket sales must be made in advance at www.ct-trolley.org. Museum Members receive half off admission.

Pictures with Santa
Pictures with Santa will be held on November 25th from 5pm-9pm along with everything Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights has to offer. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to capture your holiday photo with Santa, positioned by vintage trolley cars taken by renown photographer Marc Glucksman of River Rail Photo. Marc Glucksman is a lifelong photographer and electric traction fan. His work can be seen across a variety of publications and platforms, including the New York Times, CNN and Trains Magazines. Check out his work at www.riverrailphoto.com. Pictures will be available on Marc’s website for purchase along with holiday card options, high res digital download, tote bags, picture packages and more. The cost is $25 for Winterfest patrons, $12.50 for Museum Members, $50 for non Winterfest patrons and includes a digital copy. A percentage of the additional picture purchases benefit the museum. Storytime Trolley with Santa & Elf

A great program for our younger visitors. Storytime trolley with Santa & Elf will run on Saturday Dec 3rd & 10th. Visitors will enjoy a ride in a decorated vintage trolley car where Santa will visit with each child. Also, while on board Santa’s elf will read a holiday story and each child will complete a holiday craft. Following the Trolley ride, Museum guests will head to the Visitors Center which has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland with multiple model train layouts & lights galore. The cost is $25 for any age and ticket sales must be made in advance at www.ct-trolley.org.

Holiday Centerpiece Workshop

Join the Museum for our 2nd Annual Holiday Centerpiece Workshop. This event will be held on December 14th and take place at the Museum inside the beautifully decorated Visitor Center from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy the views of Winterfest while building your centerpiece. All supplies and material are included in the cost. The Museum makes almost 100% of the sales from this workshop thanks to the Nordell Family of East Windsor, CT. Bring your favorite beverage and snacks and make a night of it! Registration must be made by Dec 1st. The cost is $45 per centerpiece and registration must be made in advance here
