Swede’s Jewelers announces Rob Szwed retirement and He Thanks Everyone for the Pleasure of being Part of the Community!
From Rob Szwed:
Just a few words before I retire…
My career began in 1975 helping my father, initially repairing watches. However, I transitioned to primarily jewelry repair, design, and fabrication. Over the past 47 years I have had the honor of restoring countless family heirlooms.
For every diamond ring I’ve helped a couple select, or piece of jewelry I’ve created for someone, I’ve made a special relationship with those customers. Truly, many of them have become close friends. It has been one of the greatest joys of my life, not just to serve my customers, but to be a part of so many special moments in their lives. Nothing has made me happier than handing a treasured piece of jewelry, that’s been entrusted to me, back to its owner and seeing the joy upon their face.
As my wife, Susan and I head south after my final Christmas at Swede’s Jewelers, I will miss you all and forever cherish the memories you have given me over the years.
My mother and father built Swede’s Jewelers with hard work, quality merchandise, and customer service at the core of the business.
Upon my retirement, I feel we owe it to give piece of mind to our loyal customers. Swedes will continue to be here for the community that has supported us for the last 76 years. I know that what my parents built will continue on in the capable hands of my niece, Amy Szwed Wentworth.
Amy is my brother Stan’s daughter. Most of you know Stan from his many years of gemological expertise and masterful jewelry work here at the store.
Amy, having been brought up under Stan’s guidance, is no stranger to the jewelry business. As Amy transitions into her new role, Stan won’t be far away!
He will continue to help with repairs and custom jobs. We all wish her well as she takes the helm.
Thanks Again to All Those I have had the Pleasure to Serve.
