February is an Interesting Farm Month

Syme Family Farm says “February is always an interesting month, part of you wants it to last forever because the pace of the farm is slower and part of you wants to jump back into the growing season craziness”.

Lots of behind the scenes happenings are still going on.

Ranunculus corms have been pre-sprouted and transplanted into the unheated high tunnel (more than double of last years crop), seed sowing has started, all the greenhouse pots have been filled and we will begin planting in a few weeks and also have been monitoring our forced tulip crop for Easter with all this unusually warm weather.
