Husband and wife, Mary Nielsen and B.Chimp will exhibit artwork through the month of November in the Community Room of the Warehouse Point Library. Residents of Broad Brook, who value nature, animals, reading, music and art as requirements for a healthy, happy life. A self taught artist, Nielsen works in a variety of mediums: fine point embroidery, sculptural assemblage, oil, pen and ink, furniture and floral design. Her whimsical animal pen and inks will be on display at the library. B.Chimp is a self taught artist who works in water color, ink and photography. He has a natural gift for words and humor which makes for very amusing titles. His work ‘Eagleville Cow’ was photographed from his kayak floating nose to nose with said cow. Together and individually their work has been represented in many solo and group shows, including The Terrace Gallery in Mystic, The Converse Gallery in Norwich, Wesleyan Potters in Middletown and several libraries in the state. They are pleased for the opportunity to share their art in large poster format and hope to make you smile.
