Roomful Of Blues, the world-renowned, horn-fueled blues band, has announced changes to their house-rocking line-up. Powerful veteran vocalist DD Bastos joins Roomful Of Blues as the new featured vocalist. DD is a dynamic singer with a deep background in blues, swing and rock ‘n’ roll, and the leader of New England-based band, DD & The Road Kings. Says Bastos, “I’m excited, happy and grateful for the opportunity to work with Roomful Of Blues. The fact that they are a part of the Alligator Records family of blues artists is a thrill for me, since some of my all-time favorite blues artists made their home at Alligator.”

In other band news, we have new keyboardist Jeff Ceasrine. Jeff is known as one of the best musicians in New England and has sat in occasionally with Roomful Of Blues since 2008. With the addition of Bastos and Ceasrine, there has also been new additions to the Roomful horn section. Joining us now is Craig Thomas on Baritone and Tenor sax and Christopher Pratt on Trumpet.

RoC (Roots of Creation) has taken on a unique new project: Grateful Dub: a Reggae-infused tribute to the Jerry Garcia & The Grateful Dead. Combining their longtime love for Reggae-Dub style music and the Grateful Dead, RoC reworked some of the world’s favorite Dead tunes into a new studio album. RoC had the pleasure of working in the studio with the legendary 5-time Grammy winner Errol Brown who was Bob Marley’s sound engineer for this project. Grateful Dub is also being performed live in its entirety at festivals, theatres, and clubs around the country, and features rotating live special guests that has included Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh), Zach Nugent, RyMo, AG, & Paul W. (Slightly Stoopid), G. Love (G. Love & Special Sauce), Mihali (Twiddle), Dan Kelly (Fortunate Youth) and others. Grateful Dub captures the spirit and magic of the Grateful Dead, while laying it down Reggae-Dub style.

Mark Riccadonna (SNL, Drybar) and the human jukebox Justin Gonzalez (Carnegie Hall, the Comedy Cellar) are excited to bring the Laugh Pack back to the Broad Brook Opera House! This year they will be bringing a new friend to the party: Comedy Hypnotist Bob Lauver!

Mark Riccadonna pursued Theatre at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and, soon after, stumbled upon Stand-Up Comedy. He is a gifted storyteller with a charisma that makes you feel like you’ve known him forever, a unique delivery, a signature voice, and likability; you will see why he is a favorite at clubs and theatres everywhere. Mark also performs for Armed Forces Entertainment and has entertained U.S. and U.N. Troops worldwide. Recently, he filmed a Comedy Special for Dry Bar and The Beaz Hive on Amazon and was a contributing writer for Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.”

Justin Gonzalez performs a diverse repertoire of music spanning Jazz, the American Songbook, the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen, Broadway, and favorites from the classical and operatic stage. Justin has performed with some of the best classical and popular music acts in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and the Cathedral Notre Dame in Paris.

As a comedian and storyteller, he has entertained audiences at clubs such as the Comic Strip Live, Candlelight Comedy Club, and the Comedy Cellar in NYC. Justin has also performed in the NYC Comedy Festival and most recently as part of the opening weekend of the Good Karma Mid-Atlantic Regional Comedy Festival.

And Comedy Hypnotist Bob Lauver! What happens when you combine a professional touring comic with a stage hypnotist? You get an unforgettable night of laughter and amazement!
