Join author and historian Martin Podskoch on Saturday, June 15 at 1 p.m. at the Warehouse Point Library, 107 Main Street, East Windsor as he speaks about his recent book,
The Connecticut 169 Club: Your Passport and Guide to Exploring Connecticut. Marty has put together a guide to our state’s 169 towns, all written by local experts. Each entry includes highlights of the town’s location, history and interesting places to visit.
The perfect guide for a summer staycation! Books will be available for purchase and book signing. Gary Mazzone, local resident and author of the East Windsor chapter will also be in attendance and available at the book signing. This Saturday, June 15, there is an opening reception at Agonist Gallery for “I AM YOUR BEST FRI3ND,” a multi-media production by Alexander Califournia. The reception runs from 6 pm to 8 pm and will include a film screening at 7 pm. There will also be drawings, poetry, music, and food.
“Behind-the-Scenes” tour will give visitors the opportunity to take a close-up look at some of the current restoration projects including Connecticut Company #3001, Brooklyn Rapid Transit #169 & Northern Ohio Traction & Light Co. #1500 ‘Northern’. Additionally, tour the grounds that are normally closed off to visitors with a Museum guide.
During your visit you will also learn more about our sixteen Firetrucks and Fire alarm office with a working 1904 Gamewell panel fire alarm system that is actively used at the Museum.
Get up close and personal as you climb aboard selected Trolleys from our incredible collection. Tour our Visitor Center full of historic trolleys. Pack a picnic lunch and come and spend some time with the family. You can ride the Trolley cars as many times as you would like!
Dads and Granddads receive FREE admission when accompanied by a paying adult or child.
Admission is $13.00 for ages 13 and up, $12.00 for seniors (62 and up), $11.00 for ages 4-12 and $4 for ages 3 and under. Museum Members receive half off admission.
The Connecticut Trolley Museum is located at 58 North Road (Rt. 140) and is a short 15 minutes north of Hartford or a short 15 minutes south of Springfield.
