POSTPONED New Date TBA
Kids to Parks Day – celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May – is a national day of play that connects kids and families with their local, state, and national parks.
The East Windsor Community Cleanup Crew would love to share this day with you and your family and friends at our local Park!
The goal of our clean up crew is to spread awareness on the importance of keeping our town clean while, also getting out there and helping clean up! Simple! We are all volunteers who are donating time and materials.
As we just started up our little group, we have no had enough time to logistically plan a giant event for this year. As I said, we are a just community minded volunteers looking to make a difference and get to know our neighbors in the process.
Let’s face it, cleaning garbage is not overly fun. We would like to make this a fun day centered around our community with an emphasis on the importance of all doing our part to keep our town beautiful.
One of our volunteers is a musician who has offered up some of his equipment for the day for music! We would like to invite any local choirs, school bands, Martial Arts Schools, Boy/Girl Scouts out to perform and show the town your talent! Please contact us if interested.
We would like to start off the day by all heading out there and posting photos of the garbage we are able to SAFELY collect. Whether it be in your yard or on the side of a road we ask that everyone puts safety first!
At noon we will all meet up at Resevoir Park to celebrate our cleanup efforts together and have some fun! We will also have garbage bags and gloves available at the Park to tidy up within the park as well. Adults will be required to sign a liability waiver to participate in cleaning up at the park.
We will have music, giveaways and more! We have weekly planning meetings as well!
