Scantic River State Park, 100 Melrose Road, Broad Brook CT
The East Windsor American Heritage River Commission is hosting their 15th annual New Year’s Day hike. Come explore the 2.5 mile loop trail. Hike steps off at 1:00pm in the parking area at end of Melrose Road, Broad Brook. Dress appropriately for weather and proper footwear for conditions. Friendly/leashed dogs are welcomed. Donations will be collected for our local food pantry (human and pet items). Hot chocolate and a warming barrel will be provided. The Panther Plunge benefits the East Windsor Fuel Bank, ensuring that we can successfully help East Windsor families heat their homes during the cold, winter months.
After the plunge, join our warming party complete with bonfire, DJ and refreshments.
Register as a team or as an individual. Waivers will be available on-site day of for participants to sign.
