5th Annual Car & Bike Show @ East Windsor Park

5th Annual Broad Brook Fire Department Car Show.

Join us in a day full of gorgeous cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles. Lots of door prizes, dash plaques, 50/50 raffle. There will be a fire truck display, DJ, and of course food and lots of fun.

Last year we saw almost 200 beautiful vehicles and we want to top that this year. Registration is only $10 and spectators are free.

All proceeds benefit the BBFD, and helps to pay for updating equipment, training and vehicle maintenance.

On Sunday, September 9 Agonist Gallery will host another in our series of Artists Markets.
All area Visual Artists are invited to bring 1-3 pieces for display in the gallery for the day- 11 am to 4 pm. **There are no commissions on sales, and the price to exhibit is only $10 at the door.
Admission is FREE for our visitors, and there is ample parking.
 
Bring some new work to share and test out. Our Artists Markets are a place for artists’ to show new work without great expense or time commitment. Accepted work includes photography, painting, and sculpture. No crafts. Work will be hung on display panels normally used for outdoor art fairs.
 
There will be time to set-up between 10:30 am and 11 am. Hope to see you there!

Registration for “Inaugural” Don Bartlett Memorial Golf Tournament Still Open
East Windsor, CT— August 19, 2018
 
GOLFERS! You still have time to register to play in The East Windsor Lions Club/East Windsor Lions Charities “inaugural” DON BARTLETT MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, being held on Saturday, September 15th, at Willowbrook Golf Course in South Windsor, CT.
 
Don Bartlett had been a member of the East Windsor Lions for 50 years prior to his passing in March 2017. The owner of Brookside Package Store, Don, a life-long East Windsor resident, was well known throughout the area. His participation in numerous state and local charitable activities led to his receiving several awards for his very active voluntarism. He will be missed.
You’re invited you to enjoy a late summer Saturday morning of golf, support our “sight-saving activities and programs, while helping us honor Don’s memory.
 
Individuals can register for $85! You’ll receive 18 holes of golf, with electric cart, at Willowbrook Golf Course, a beautiful par-60 course, one of the “best kept secrets” in Greater Hartford, challenging to the accomplished player, yet friendly to the newer or inexperienced golfer. At the end of your round you’ll enjoy a great barbeque lunch in the Willowbrook Clubhouse Restaurant.
 
East Windsor Lions Charities. LLC, a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization, distributes the funds raised by the East Windsor Lions Club to support sight-saving activities & programs. It also distributes money to support high school scholarships, local youth sports programs, and local Boy and Girl Scout troops.
 
In addition to the prizes given to the winners of the “closest to the pin” contests on the 5th and 15th hole, there will also be prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place “teams.
