North Central Ct- Are You looking for a Career in the Healthcare or Personal Services field?
CT State Asnuntuck will hold an Open House on Wednesday, January 24th from 5:30 p.m -7 p.m. Those interested are welcome to drop in any time during the event.

The Open House will showcase in-demand careers, various short-term certification programs, and CT State Asnuntuck’s expert instructors.

Learn about various licensure career certificates and potential SNAP scholarships. Fourteen different non-credit career programs are available at Asnuntuck. They include Professional Medical Billing and Coding; Pharmacy Technician; Patient Care Technician (PCT); Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Electrocardiogram (ECG) Technician; Dental Assistant; Central Sterile Processing Technician; Ophthalmic Assistant; Veterinary Assistant; Esthetician; Cosmetologist/Hairdresser; Nail Technician; Personal Trainer; and Medical Interpreter programs.

Giroux Woodworking Artisan Boutique & Craft Studio presents

Join Us for a comprehensive journey to embroider your own 6 inch scenic hoop.
You will layer scrap fabrics to create a beautiful one of a kind scene from nature, while learning a few simple embroidery stitches along the way.
Free hand embroidery gives you the freedom you can’t find when following a pattern.
Embroidery helps with relaxation, can reduce your anxiety, and keeps your being mindful by utilizing the rhythmic movement of the needle.
This class is taught by Christina, the owner of Piece of Mind Arts. Christina is self taught and has been hand embroidering for the past 13 years.
All materials will be provided for this 2 hour class.
If you enjoy it, additional kits will be available for purchase at the end of the class.

Wire Wrapped Heart Pendent @ Giroux Woodworking Artisan Boutique & Craft Studio

Create a one of a kind wire wrapped heart Pendant! We will provide each student with a hand hammered heart and will learn how to wire wrap beads stones and pearls to create a beautiful piece of jewelry. This class does not utilize pliers or tools, but we will be working with thin wire and beads with small holes. Reading glasses are encouraged if needed. Erica is always around to help with everyone’s project, but students are expected to be able to complete their projects on their own.
Chains will be available for purchase or you can use your own chain!
Please be sure EVERYONE in your party is comfortable with the materials we will be using before signing up friends.
Our classes are non refundable but anyone who is not able to attend is welcome to stop by for a take home kit.
Minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 students per class.
Each student attending needs a ticket purchased in advance as we make each piece to order.
BYOB and snacks always welcome.
Our gift shop will be open for shopping.
If we do not hit our minimum of 3 students for a class all students are refunded.
