Connecticut Trolley Museum Honors Free Admission for Military Personnel and Veterans on Memorial Day
The CT Trolley Museum will honor all Our Military Personnel including Veterans with Free Admission and a 10% discount for Their Families on May 28th, 2018, Memorial Day. Military ID or paperwork must be shown to receive discount.
Take as many trolley rides as you would like operated by period dressed motormen. Learn historic information about each car you ride and how the museum began. Inside the Visitor Center you will find more static trolley cars and artifacts including a gift shop to buy that ‘special’ souvenir.
Additionally, make your own Jr. Motorman Hat, Dress-up as a Motorman in the Imagination Center! On the same grounds is the Connecticut Fire Museum complete with antique fire trucks and apparatus. All activities and Fire Truck Museum entrance is included with your admission price.
Pack a lunch and relax while as you watch the trolleys arrive and depart from North Road Station.
The Connecticut Trolley Museum is located at 58 North Road (Rt. 140) and is a short 15 minutes north of Hartford or a short 15 minutes south of Springfield.
Admission is $10.00 for ages 13 and up, $9.00 for seniors 62 and up and $7.00 for ages 4-12. Connecticut Trolley Museum members and children 3 and under are admitted free of charge. For more information, visit ct-trolley.org or call (860) 627-6540

Through the month of May, the library will be displaying artwork in both the Community Room and in the Young Adult section of the main library. A new change this year is the addition of select artworks from the Middle School as well! This show will showcase stunning examples of student artwork from here in town. High School Art Teacher, Katherine Boiczyk and Middle School Art Teacher, Kathryn O’Brien hope many will view and enjoy how the students’ hard work has paid off! Mon-Wed till 8pm

Head over to East Windsor Park on Tuesdays during the summer for a great family fun event!
Each week there is food, a DJ, raffles, and trophies. There are theme nights on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Connecticut Water employees are hosting guided hikes in Killingworth and Tolland for CT Trails Day, Saturday, June 2nd at 10.a.m.
Killingworth Reservoir – A 2 mile hike (round trip) hike that includes some minor hill climbing on a scenic trail that crosses open fields, the Menunketesuck River footbridge, a pond and old woods roads.
Shenipsit Lake Reservoir – Approximately 3.3 miles round trip along the old railroad bed which is now part of the Blue-Blazed Shenipsit Trail.
All hikers will be entered into a raffle to win a gift certificate to LL Bean and first 20 will receive a reusable plastic water bottle and drawstring bag.

CT Trails Day 2018 will include a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Melrose Bridge Walkway, which connects to the west side trail development.
The walkway was built by
the Hartland Building and Restoration Company, all thanks to a grant from the CT DEEP; Town of East Windsor support,
& donations from the East Windsor Rotary Club, the East Windsor Lions Club,
Scantic River Watershed Association, Herb Holding Trucking, Inc., and the hard working volunteers of the American Heritage River Commission
