Stanton Equipment “Business of the Year” Celebration @ LaNottes Banquet Facility

This Years Recipient of the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year 2019 goes to Stanton Equipment.

This is a Company with a Family like feel to it with it’s leadership of Scot Stanton and his daughter Amanda joining the Team 5 Years ago they have proven that a well run business is not only profitable but an asset to Our Community.

What STANTON EQUIPMENT does for Our Community,Region and State:

Outing For Scouting co-chairs which raises 20-25k annually for the Connecticut Rivers Council. Over 300K has been raised.
Donations to local fire/police/veteran associations throughout the year
Special Olympics dinner dance table sponsor ( Amanda also her volunteers time for this event)
Gather donations to local fairs, fundraisers, sporting events, etc.
Sponsors local baseball and softball teams in all three towns where our stores are located. (Plainfield, Canaan, East Windsor)
Participation/Play in several other golf tournaments to support many of our local causes.

One of the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce’s Charter Members Stanton Equipment is more then a Business it is part of Our History as well and it is with Great Pleasure that we are Celebrating them on June 18th 2019 at Lanotte’s Banquet Facility 17 Thompson Rd East Windsor Ct 06088 at the East Windsor Chamber of Commerce’s 24th Annual meeting.

It will be a Social/Networking with “Tasty Treats” prepared by the Chefs of LaNottes from 5pm -730pm with Honoring program at 6pm. Cost $25 pp/cash bar

June Artists Market at Agonist Gallery @ Agonist Gallery

On Sunday, June 23, Agonist Gallery will host our June Artists Market. Something new! We have a new Patreon site. I’d like to post a profile for artists exhibiting with Agonist Gallery. Please let me know if you are interested.
 
All area visual artists are invited to bring 1-3 pieces for display in the gallery for the day (more if there’s room)- 11 am to 4 pm. There are no commissions on sales, and the price to exhibit is only $10 at the door. There will be no charge for our visitors, and there is ample parking.
 
Bring some new work to share and test out. Our Artists Markets are a place for artists to show new work without great expense or time commitment. Accepted work includes photography, painting, drawing, and sculpture. Work will be hung on display panels normally used for outdoor art fairs.
 
There will be time for set-up June 23 between 10:30 am and 11 am. “At the Dam Restaurant” next door is open to 1 pm.

8th ANNUAL CARDBOARD BOAT RACE ON THE SCANTIC RIVER (East Windsor)
JUNE 23, 2019 — REGISTRATION 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM — LAUNCH at 2:00pm after Rubber Duck Race. Ducks launch at 1:00pm.
ALLOWED:
Cardboard, Duct tape, Lumber 1″ X 12″ X 10′ long
Glue and assorted “smooth rivet” fasteners
Store-bought paddles are permitted: only oars, paddles or wind may be used to propel your vesselPROHIBITED: PLASTIC, METAL, STYROFOAM, TAR, WAX, FIBERGLASS RESINS, EPOXIES, STAPLES & CLAMPS
• BOAT MUST BE EASY TO ENTER & EXIT SHOULD IT BECOME UNEXPECTED SUBMARINE, AND BE FREE OF SHARP EDGES OR OTHER DANGERS TO CREW SAFETY.
• DECORATIONS MAY BE OF ANY MATERIAL (except styrofoam or any other aids in its floatation)
• ONLY A QUALIFIED BOAT CAN BE THE WINNER – ALL BOATS WILL BE INSPECTED PRIOR TO RACE
