Dec 15 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm

Connecticut Artist Kristen Walsh will be running a felting workshop on Saturday, December 15 from 11-2 p.m. Using needle felting techniques, participants will learn how to sculpt wool, making a 4-5″ Swedish Tomte.  By rolling, twisting and poking wool with a special barbed needle, students will see first hand the magic of turning wool into a one-of-a-kind treasure.  Students will use natural wool locks to make the beard and merino for the body.  The workshop will take 3 hours to complete.  This program is for ages 10 and up.  Parents of registered participants under the age of 14 must stay in the Library with their child.  Registration is necessary as space is limited.
