EAST WINDSOR HITORICAL SOCIETY – MUSEUMS ON THE GREEN
Annual Ice Cream Social
Saturday, September 18, 2021
10am- 3pm
The Annual Ice Cream Social Event will be held in September with old favorites and some new offerings. Our seven museum buildings will be open for touring, including the Barber Hill School House, the Scantic Academy, the Court House, the Barber Shop, the Osborn House, the Scantic Barn, and the antique tool display in the Garage.
We are again offering free Ice Cream made by Tulmeadow Farm of West Simsbury as long as supplies last and free haircuts in the Barber Shop from 10am – 3pm by Sara Cook of “Skips Early Bird” barber shop on Main Street in Windsor Locks. We are also offering free wagon rides and a free marriage ceremony on the Court House steps.
The Scantic Valley Small Engine & Antique Tractor club will be displaying tractors and small engines and the Tolland Genealogy Society will be on hand to answer questions about researching your past. Food trucks will be onsite with food for hungry visitors and there will be booths featuring regional artisans, crafters and up-market merchandise, so bring your wallets. We hope to see you there!
Couples interested in getting Married and Vendors interested in a free 10’ x 10’ booth should email Nancy Masters at [email protected].
Vendors offering farm products, crafts, antiques, artisans & flea market items are invited to submit at least 3 photos of your booth and items for jurying. (No tag sale booths)
The Ice Cream Social is our biggest event with many opportunities where you can help.
Please consider volunteering a few hours during the Ice Cream Social.
