Hop into the Warehouse Point Library and make a Spring Bunny!
The April Crafty Craze for ages 3 and up, will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to noon. There is no fee but registration is necessary, as space is limited. For more information, contact the library at 860-623-5482.
The Easter Bunny will be roaming the grounds and posing for pictures from 11am-3pm. Each child will receive an Easter Surprise Treat when they complete an Easter Scavenger Hunt. Additionally, each child can make their own bunny ears.
Take as many trolley rides as you would like operated by period dressed motormen. Learn historic information about each car you ride and how the museum began. Inside the Visitor Center you will find more static trolley cars and artifacts, a theater showing a Children’s Easter Movie and a gift shop to buy that ‘special’ souvenir. On the same grounds is the Connecticut Fire Museum complete with antique fire trucks and apparatus. All activities and Fire Truck Museum entrance is included with your admission price.
There are picnic tables on the grounds so pack a lunch and relax awhile as you watch the trolleys arrive and depart from North Road Station.
Admission prices are $13 for Adults, $12 for Seniors (62+), Children (ages 4-12) $11, children (ages 3 & under) $4 and Museum Members receive half off admission. The Museum is open from 10am-4:30pm, for more information visit www.ct-trolley.org or call 860-627-6540.
The Connecticut Trolley Museum is located at 58 North Road (Rt. 140) and is a short 15 minutes north of Hartford or a short 15 minutes south of Springfield

***We also will be pushing that larger event back but do not have an exact date yet.***
We need your help! We know our first date is during Easter weekend, but we are asking for everyone in town to take 10 to 15 minutes to head on out with the family and clean up your yard. Over winter, trash seems to accumulate in front yards, so lets start small by picking up our own yards and go from there. We want to make this fun! Instead of simply doing an Easter Egg Hunt, lets add in a rubbish hunt! Whichever kiddo picks up the most paper etc wins a prize. (Safety first! Please supervise we do not want kiddos picking up dangerous garbage!)
Dress up! Be silly! Make this fun for the whole family while setting a great example for the kids in our wonderful town! And of course be sure to share photos with all of us neighbors on this page so we can see the great job your family did!
I am looking into making an actual page for this group. We would like to hold more than one large event so be on the lookout shortly for an updated Facebook page!
More info to follow shortly as we figure out the logistics of the town wide cleanup!
