Rails to the Darkside @ Ct Trolley Museum
Oct 6 @ 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Rails to the Darkside @ Ct Trolley Museum | East Windsor | Connecticut | United States

When the Hartford and Springfield Street Railway built a branchline from Warehouse Point to Rockville in 1905, a small cemetery near Newberry Road stood in the way of a straight-as-an-arrow trolley line. The cemetery was relocated to a spot of dry land along Route 140 near the tracks. The air around the cemetery always had a chill after the move and the locals kept away, letting Mother Nature take over.

Years later as the trolley museum began planning for the Visitor Center, workers began surveying the land and found the gravestones from the old cemetery hidden in the woods. Oddly enough, further inspection found that there were only headstones… no coffins or remains were in the earth.

Today, during the darkest of the nights, the mournful cries of the abandoned dead are heard around old Newberry Road and the trolley museum’s Newberry Siding. Do you dare ride to the darkside?

This event is rated PG-13 and is not recommended for young children.

Oct 7 @ 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Boutin & Sons Paving invites you to:

East Windsor Rotary Club
Wine Tasting
For the second year in a row we are excited to bring to you our annual wine tasting on the beautiful grounds of Second Chance Farms at 42 Rice Road in East Windsor. Second Chance Farm is a beautiful property owned by Pete Larese. Pete gives ‘retired’ horses with no where else to go a beautiful (and luxurious!) place to live out their days. I’ve heard many times ‘If I could I’d come back in my second life as a horse so long as I get to live there!’ Don’t forget to stop by and say hello to Laverne and Shirley – Pete’s resident cows – while you’re sipping on your favorite wine. You will be blown away by the ambiance and wish Pete would take you in yourself!

Food to be cooked fresh and served: pulled pork, clam chowder & chili. Come join us and help the EW Rotary Club raise money to fund enhancements in the East Windsor community, provide scholarships to our graduates and support other charitable endeavors.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the following link:

Food, beer and wine all included with the price of admission. A big thanks to Leslie Hickey and the folks at Joe’s Fine Wine and Liquors, Joe Sauerhoefer for the delicious cookings, and Doug Haines at
