TVCA Business After Hours
The Windsor Chamber of Commerce is Hosting a “TVCA Business After Hours” will be on April 11th hosted by the Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut at 115 Pierson Lane in Windsor from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
Can you imagine the world without radio, television or computers? The Vintage Radio and Communications Museum of Connecticut shows visitors the history of electric communications and how it has changed our lives in a hands-on fashion. Tune radios 80 years old, talk over candlestick telephones, listen to 100 year old records, tap out your name in Morse Code, see what early television looked like. It’s all at this fascinating museum.
Enjoy refreshments, raffle prizes and networking with business people from 6 regional Chambers of Commerce. The Tobacco Valley Chamber Alliance (TVCA) is a strategic alliance of the Bloomfield, Bradley Regional (East Granby and Windsor Locks), East Windsor, Granby, Suffield, and Windsor Chambers of Commerce.
Business representatives from all seven towns are invited to participate whether they are chamber members or not. It’s a great time to learn what our local chambers do for business. Free to Windsor Chamber and TVCA Members, $5.00 for non-chamber members.
Please RSVP online at www.WindsorCC.org/rsvp or call 860-688-5165.

Join us to watch the movie “Parrish” featuring Troy Donahue! Much of the movie was filmed in Connecticut. Local scenes of tobacco farms, especially at the Thrall Farm in the Poquonock section of Windsor and parts of East Windsor, are everywhere! Warner Brothers even ignited a tobacco shed located on the Daly property in Warehouse Point while the cameras kept rolling!
