Mad Science – Mad Labs East Windsor Parks & Recreation, along with Mad Science is sponsoring two 6 week programs for boys and girls in grades K-4. This program provides children with a unique and fun science experience. Checks can be made out to East Windsor Parks & Recreation.
Dates: Session 1: 2/26-4/2 & Session 2: 4/16-5/21 Grades: K-4 Time: Mondays 3:40-4:40pm Fee: $89.00 per session
CRPA Hot Shots Contest This fun statewide event will focus on promoting enthusiasm for basketball as well as skills, fun physical fitness and good sportsmanship. Winners in each age group will have the opportunity to move on to the state meet in Old Saybrook on April 7th. Date: Thursday, March 1st 5:30pm-8:00pm Ages: 9-15 as of 12/31/17 Location: East Windsor High School Gym Fee: FREE (non-perishable food donations accepted)
Annual Limerick Contest Parks & Recreation is excited to once again sponsor our annual Limerick Contest. This contest is open to East Windsor Residents ONLY. This year’s theme is East Windsor’s 250th Anniversary! Winning entries will be displayed in Town Hall and prizes will be awarded. All participants who submit a limerick will get a 250th Anniversary pencil! Dates: Entries must be received by March 16th for Town Hall Judging Age/Grade Groups: K-1, 2-4, 5-8, 9-12 & Adults 18+ Fee: FREE
Advanced Babysitter Safety 102 in association with LifeSafe Services This course is for youth’s ages 11-16+ with a sincere interest in advanced concepts and skills of First Aid including CPR certification. Requires written and skills testing to be awarded an American Heart Association 2 year certification. Course will take place in the East Windsor Middle School Cafeteria. Dates: Tuesday, March 20th Ages: 11-16 Time: 3:00-6:00pm Fee: $40.00
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny Parks & Recreation will partner with the East Windsor Rotary Club for it’s annual Easter Bunny Breakfast. Don’t forget your cameras! Raffles will be held to benefit scholarships, shop with a cop, holiday baskets & more! Summer Camp Donations will also be accepted. Breakfast will take place in the East Windsor High School Cafeteria Dates: Saturday, March 24th Ages: All ages welcome! Time: 8:30am-11:30am Fee: $3.00 Children/$6.00 Adults
Soccershots at Abbe Road Soccer Fields **New Program** Parks & Recreation is working with SoccerShots to provide spring soccer programs to both 2-3 year olds and 4-5 year olds. Both age groups will be held at Abbe Road Soccer Fields. Register by visiting https://www.soccershots.org/ct/. Cost of program includes shirt, completion certificate and spring prize. Dates: Thursdays 4/19-6/7 (8 Weeks) Ages: 2-3; 4-5 Time: 5:30pm-6:00pm; 6:15pm-7:00pm Fee: $70.00 (payment plans available)
FUTSAL SOCCER – BROAD BROOK SCHOOL & EAST WINDSOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
East Windsor Parks & Recreation will be working with Futsal & Street Soccer this spring to provide clinics for those interested in the sport of soccer. This program is a major step in developing players Ball Skills and Increase Ball Confidence that they can bring back to their School, Town and Club Soccer!! Price includes FSS Shirt (please indicate shirt size at time of registration.)
Broad Brook School: Tuesdays, April 24th-June 5th. Cost is $70.00 and program will be held on the outdoor fields.
East Windsor Middle School: Thursdays, March 15th – May 17th (No class 4/12 or 4/19). Cost is $80.00 and program will be held in the gym.
